Happy Tuesday Babes!
Man I conquered yesterday like a boss!
I was able to get a ton of household chores done because my house looked like a total disaster. [At least in my eyes]
Toys were everywhere, J had shoes thrown all over the house and laundry was at it's wits end. The problem with laundry I guess, is that it is never ending then E and I have wayy to much clothes. I have boxes in our garage that need to go to the donation center asap.
Yesterday was also the first time J had a really bad boo boo, and it wasn't pretty.
I'm so sad it happened but I'm pretty proud of how I reacted and that it happened on my watch.
Even with all of that going on yesterday I managed to wash my face and make sure I took care of my skin. Which in my eyes is a huge part of skin care, even the days I don't wear makeup I still wash my face.
There are all kinds of dust and dirt in the atmosphere plus all of the face touching that J loves to do it is kind of inevitably that your face gets germs on it. Plus all of the stuff your hair catches and once it falls on your face it rubs on it as well.
Rosehip Oil : I found this product after a blogger mentioned that she was using it for her stretch marks during pregnancy, if you are new here I am all about Essential Oils. They are a natural way to take care of yourself, and your family. So I bought this in hope that I can get rid of some unwanted old stretch marks but ended up using it more on my face to moisturize at night. I have dry skin and it works wonders on keeping my skin hydrated and beautiful.
St. Ives Mask + Scrubs : I was told by my bestie that it isn't good to exfoliate too often because it can do more harm than good to your skin. I had cut it completely out of my skin care routine, then I found St. Ives and the Oatmeal Scrub + Mask and I fell in love. I still only do it once or twice a week at the most but it is much more gentle on your skin. The coffee scrub on the other hand I may only use once a month since it is much more of a deeper scrub [and plus, it smells like coffee].
Individual Mask : I try to mix these up sometimes depending on the current needs for my skin. I will on occasion also get eye masks and simple things to do a self-care day so that I can make sure I am taking care of myself. This time around I picked up some hair masks because I have been doing more to my hair lately and since I can't make it to Orlando's Salon all the time I figured I can do some masks at home to help keep my hair looking and feeling great.
L'Oreal Pure Clay Mask : I picked up this mask a while back and when I get the chance to use it I do. Since I wear more makeup than I used to I wanted to make sure that I take the time to detox my skin, this mask works wonders and is pretty budget friendly as well. You can pick it up at your local drug store but I have also linked it in this post.
- Mario Badescu Hyaluronic Eye Cream, 0.5 oz. : This eye cream is for during the day and it helps smooth fine lines as well as moisture loss. The consultant at Ulta also recommended that I use it prior to applying concealer as it helps to smooth the lines that your concealer makes under the eye.
Mario Badescu Glycolic Eye Cream : I use this eye cream at night, I sometimes forget to use it but it helps to smooth fine lines and brighten under eyes. I have genetically dark circles being of Indian decent and I can use all the help I can get.
Mario Badescu Glycolic Skin Renewal Complex : This is my night time face cream, I use it in between using the Radha Rosehip Oil. It feels amazing and keeps my face feeling great as well. As you can tell I love all things Mario Badescu
Mario Badescu Facial Spray with Aloe, Herbs, and Rose Water : I love this facial spray for a couple of reasons, it smells great, I use it for a makeup setting spray and it is also great to give yourself a quick spray with this Houston heat.
Mario Badescu Foaming Cleanser : I use this cleanser for when I do my glam makeup as it is a deeper cleanser than the enzyme cleaning gel. I typically use it while in the shower because I hate washing my face at the sink [I am weird, I know].
Mario Badescu Cleansing Milk w/ Carnation + Rice Oil : I love this milk because it reminds me of lotion and it feels amazing all while cleaning my face. It also helps to have something to use at the end of the day when you didn't use makeup at all, so it isn't as harsh. It is my favorite and take it every where with me.
