Prior to becoming parents we hardly did date night, we always considered anytime we were together was date night. We used to drive all over the city just to see new places, find new places to eat, and just to drive around and talk.Read More
I love where my body is currently and I am fitting into things that I hadn't be able to or fit super snug before but I still have some midsection and a bit of my arm area that I would love to tone a bit more. So spending a lot on dresses from Nordstroms or items that I may not fit in a couple of months isn't really ideal for me, Boohoo has pretty affordable items that I can style a couple of different ways and still keep it classic and chic.Read More
Today I am going to document my weekly wardrobe this week, I pretty much keep it simple during the week because I have to mostly chase J around. I love clothing like way too much and sometimes a lot of the outfits I wear during the week don’t actually make it over to the blog.
So I wanted to put up a post that would give you guys some insight on what I wear weekly. =] if this is something you guys like, please let me know.Read More
I recently picked up a couple of items from Forever 21 because I needed a couple of things for our cruise later this year. I feel like I am constantly talking about this cruise here on the blog but I really feel like this will be the beginning of a lot of traveling for us.
I have been proactively planning for the trip so last minute I am not running around frantically like a crazy person, I am sure that I will still be going a bit crazy since this is our first trip as a family of 3 and the longest trip E and I have also taken together as well.
I am just so ready to go. I will be highlighting a couple of the things I picked out from a few "hauls" I have done soon. I have been strategically planning new outfits as I need to.
I also love this dress because while it will be absolutely great for the cruise, it is also the perfect thing to throw on for an easy sunday funday with the family or to brunch with your girls.
Apparently, Football is starting back up and my husband is going to have to deal with J while he watches it and I can get things I need to do done, by myself. A girl can dream right, lol.
When it comes to having to put together simple outfits for runnings errands while having J with me, I normally gravitate towards just jeans and a basic tee but I know that getting dressed and putting on make-up help me feel more like myself.
So today on the blog I am showing you how to simply style a polka dot top with jeans and a pair of loafers, while on a budget.Read More

If you have ever watched "Coming to America" you can appreciate the title of this post, and my humor for that matter 😂. I was raised with boys forgive me.
I recently saw a blogger post wearing a velvet jumpsuit and I absolutely loved it. I know it isn't really mommy like to wear velvet but we all still get to do date night once in a while right? And if not you can always spruce up your mommy wardrobe while accessorizing or accentuating with velvet.
I found a couple of items that I fell in love with to add a little velvet to your life this fall.
Please for the sake of all things mommy, don't go out wearing all things velvet and then say I told you it would look amazing, that's not what I am saying.
So let me break it down, if you wear velvet pants DO NOT, I repeat do not wear a velvet top. A basic tee will work, wear leather loafers or pumps and put your hair up in a bun. Piece velvet items together with none velvet items, the days are over where you should be wearing all velvet.
A little sometimes can go a long way especially with the velvet trend, that is why I added in the shirt with a velvet pocket and a clutch these are items that will accent your outfit, and keep you on trend while potentially be your statement piece.
Oh and don't forget you can totally detail your house with velvet items like dining room chairs. My tip would be to only use them at the head and end of the table, all velvet may be a bit much unless you are going for the 70's vibe then it would totally work in your favor.
The past weekend E and I spent some alone time to celebrate his 1st Father's Day, we dropped J and headed over to Galveston. A few years ago we dropped E's mom off to her cruise and we decided to head over to Willie G's and so this year we decided to return.
The view was beautiful and the trip to Galveston reminded us of how we use to spend so much time just traveling around our city. It was nice to have some alone time but we both missed J so much.
Before we left the island I had E stop and snap my outfit for me, because you know this is how you really should spend your Father's Day, LOL. He loves me way too much.
I walked into Target recently and all I saw was aisles filled with heart shaped chocolates and everything in pink and red. The year just started and it is already flying by, I can't believe it is time for Valentine's Day already. While E and I aren't huge fans of Valentine's Day just because of the crowds at restaurants, and the artificial need for flowers. I also hate how this day makes people tell each other they love one another when that should be done every day of the year.
But, we will save that for a different post at a different time.
Today I put together a classic look for Valentine's Day dinner with that special someone. If I were to post my actual Valentine's Day outfit you wouldn't be impressed, it will probably be pajamas. Of course, I don't recommend going out and spending the money on the below items, use it as a form of inspiration. I am a shortie 5'1 to be exact, so wearing jumpsuits is a rare thing for me but I love the way they look and since I live in Texas not having to add multiple layers of clothing is always a win.
What are you wearing this Valentine's Day?
