The Perfect Traveling Flats

Last week I had the pleasure of meeting up with a couple of girl boss friends, we went to Galveston and ate dinner and walked around a bit afterward.

When we walked around my friend Stacy helped me out with some photos, and I desperately need to find a good photographer because y'all I have been trying to get some photos done at the house and it is not happening.

I found these cute flats at Target when I was doing some shoe shopping and I just had to have them because they would go perfectly with a simple dress, jeans or even shorts. I don't have a ton of black shoes because I got rid of a bunch of things recently and I was in need of something to use on the days that tan/brown wasn't going to work.

Collins at Home: Unique Bathroom Storage

hello loves!

Today on the blog we are still doing a styling tip, but we are doing a home styling tip this week.

Last year we had Tree Climber Creations build a few custom pieces for The Collins' House and when they brought the last of the items, April was kind enough to gift us a Honeycomb Nesting Shelves.  The come in three different sizes: Large, Medium, Small.

My initial thought was to put all three shelves in our half bath, but then I wasn't really diggin' the placement that I kept coming up with so I decided to just put up the Large Honeycomb Nesting Shelf in the half bath and find other great spots for the rest. And that is exactly what I did.

In the large shelf I rolled up my hand towels for this bathroom and set them inside.

The smaller nesting shelf fit perfectly in the corner of my bathtub, where I needed to place all of my essential bath items: bath bombs, candles, and essential oils.  In the future I think I am going to get a really nice glass jar for my Epson Salt so that it will be easily accessible during bath times and also place it in this area.  I love that my bath bomb fits perfectly into the smaller shelf so I can remember to use them during my next bath time.

The Tee Basics | How to Style your Basic Tees

This post does contain affiliate links which I may earn a commission on. The below is still a direct reflection of how I love basic tees and bitches for that matter.

I am an absolute lover of basic tees, I won't go as far as calling myself a basic bitch but your girl loves her some basics tees.

If I could find the perfect white basic tee, I would buy one tee 5 times just so I'd have one to wear for the "work week". I guess I am pretty basic after all.

Anyways if you are basic like myself and love your basic tees then today I am giving you a couple of options on styling them.

You can go from leggings to cut off shorts to Panama hats to baseball hats, your basic tee is something no girl should leave behind it is kind of the perfect mauve lip for all occasions. Whether it is a girls trip or vacationing with your boo pack yourself a basic tee and use my guide to help yo self out.

Option One: Pair your perfect leggings with a hat or some shades and some runnings shoes.

Option Two:  Scoop up your favorite loungers pair that with a Panama hat and your go-to strappy sandals, top it off with a cute anklet and boom your ready for the perfect walk on the beach.

Option Tres: Distressed shorts, a pair of new white converse, baseball cap with the perfect backpack purse and you are good to go.

Option Four: Skinny Jeans, distressed are my favs, some chunky sandals, a cute simple necklace and your perfect shades and we are ready for some brunching.

How do you style your basic tees?

Casual Memorial Weekend Outfit Inspiration

Finally Memorial Weekend is here and it seems like I have been looking forward to this all year. Lately my weeks and days are all running together and I can't seem to catch them.  This weekend however, I plan to sit back and do some major relaxing and the only way to do that is to be in casual mode.

am in desperate need of replenishing my white converse and I think I may get another pair of Keds too.  I have dogs who love to step all over my feet so I typically try to keep a pair of flip flops in the car to change into prior to running out to play with them.

My other favorite thing right now is jeggings because they are super comfortable, and white nail polish I can't seem to get enough.  I went with a mauve colored lip for this look because I feel like it goes perfectly with the camo hat.

The hint of turquoise was solely to add a little summer flare, and the winged necklace I want in my life like yesterday.

What are you up to this memorial weekend?
