Hello there, loves!

I know how hectic getting ready everything can be with Valentine's Day, planning is normally on the Mom, girlfriend, and wife end of the spectrum.  If we celebrate it, it is because I had something in mind and E just has to go along for the ride.

This year, with J we will definitely be eating at home but I also wanted to make sure that I dressed J up and got some cute shots of him in his outfit.  He has a lot of ladies in his life and I love sending them his little pictures and getting their responses that are like, awwww!!!

Well last week I was able to finally get him dressed and capture a couple of photos of the both of us.  I was running around like a mad women but I made it happen and I am so glad.

I have the bad habit of not doing something because I think of all the work required to do it and then get tired before I even do any of it.

I know it is hard for us mom's to always have a full face of makeup let alone any make up at all, and blending, highlighting and contouring can make trying to get ready feel like a daunting non-doable task that no one wants to do, especially me.

Maybelline SuperStay Matte Ink Pioneer

Maybelline Lash Sensational Curvitude Mascara Black

Becca Cosmetics - Champagne Pop

Mac Blush Dusty Rose

It Cosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye

Mac Lip Pencil Ruby Woo

Since a bold red lip can go a really, really long way you don't always have to go do all that extra stuff, unless of course you have the time or a make-up artist on hand.  I didn't and I don't.

You always wants to moisturize, I also at times will use Maybelline's pore eraser, then apply foundation, concealer, brow product if needed and some mascara.

Quick and Easy Valentine's Dinner

I am a lover of staying in, especially when it comes down to celebrating those overly celebrated holidays like Valentine's Day.  I also know it takes much more work to prep a meal at home than it is to book a reservation.

Of course, I know everyone is super busy with kids, work, and life in general, so this isn't me judging the way you celebrate going out to eat.  The good part about booking a reservation at your favorite restaurant is all the work is done for you, dishes are washed, food is cooked, and your kitchen stays clean for once.

Since having Jaxon and not being able to leave the house, this Valentine's Day like many others we will be spending it at home with our little bundle of joy. It has kind of become a thing for E and I that we spend time in the kitchen together cooking and taking pictures for this blog and instagram.  Before I use to get are you seriously taking pictures right now, and now I hear aren't you going to take a picture of this?

The other night I made dinner and it had to be in a flash, E was still at work and Jaxon doesn't wait for his bottles.

I picked up a packet of Pork, I'd rather Pork Chops but this will suffice as well.
I seasoned it with Garlic Powder, Black Pepper, and Salt. I added 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil to the skillet and waited for them to turn a nice crisp brown color.

We had some leftover Bella Mushrooms from a previous dinner so I chopped those up with some onions and tossed them into a skillet with a tablespoon of Olive Oil until the mushrooms softened and the onions were transparent.  You may want to salt and pepper these to taste.

After the Pork was crisp brown to my liking I wanted to add in a cream of mushroom to have a gravy instead of the typical "dry" Pork.  You can remove the chops from the pot and let the cream of mushroom soak up the seasoning from the chops and then return the chops back in with the cream of mushroom once it is warm.

You can add any sides you want I just tossed a can of corn and a can of french style green beans in a pot, and added salt, pepper and garlic powder.  And you are done.

You can also pair this with some white rice if you like the cream of mushroom goes well over the top.  If you don't like mushrooms you can always use cream of chicken.  If you use either with the salt be careful of the salt you season your pork or chicken with.

Mi Amor | Valentine's Day Look

I walked into Target recently and all I saw was aisles filled with heart shaped chocolates and everything in pink and red.  The year just started and it is already flying by, I can't believe it is time for Valentine's Day already.  While E and I aren't huge fans of Valentine's Day just because of the crowds at restaurants, and the artificial need for flowers.  I also hate how this day makes people tell each other they love one another when that should be done every day of the year.

But, we will save that for a different post at a different time.

Today I put together a classic look for Valentine's Day dinner with that special someone.  If I were to post my actual Valentine's Day outfit you wouldn't be impressed, it will probably be pajamas. Of course, I don't recommend going out and spending the money on the below items, use it as a form of inspiration.  I am a shortie 5'1 to be exact, so wearing jumpsuits is a rare thing for me but I love the way they look and since I live in Texas not having to add multiple layers of clothing is always a win.

What are you wearing this Valentine's Day?
